Of the size of a Collared Dove. it distinguishes himself from the Black-tailed Godwit by its slightly tucked up beak, its shorter paws, the lower size, and especially the finely blocked tail of white and black. The Bar-tailed Godwit has no bar alaire white visible in flight of the Black-tailed Godwit. Bar-tailed Godwit Certain Bar-tailed Godwits are little timorous and let the man approach them in 5 or 10m. But the more they are numerous, the more the troop takes off quickly when the intruder intervenes. Bar-tailed Godwits migrate along coasts, day and night. The first migrants arrive on the German coasts in mid-August.
