Practically of the size of the owl, the mate is much smaller. The plumage is profoundly white with blackish mustaches more or less thick. |

Because of the summer and of the polar night, It hunts so well day as at night. When lemmings make rare they start again or if they stay it will be to smoulder. |
Habitat : | Tundra. It is the bird of discovered landscape which avoids the forest. It makes the nest straight from the ground on a rocky projection. |
Food : | Lemming, arctic hare, white partridge. |
