The smallest of the domestic owls, appreciably the size of the starling. Small head, little contrasted facial discs. Pygmy owl Also diurnal, fast full of liveliness and fearless. Do not flee the man.

Habitat  :Forests of Scandinavian conifers, appreciate the old wood, near clearings. Vestiges dating the glacial era in the Alps and the Bavarian forest.
Food  :Mouse, small birds until the size of the blackbird, insects.
