Chough ( Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax )

Red, long and curved beak, red paws, brilliant plumage. Chough Choughs are generally sedentary birds, but, in winter, they leave the colonies of high mountain. They come down then in the valley been able to gain foothills. In Spain, where they nest also in villages, they are not at all wild any more and look for their food in the neighborhood of the man.

Habitat  :Rock faces with cracks, in the dry and bare regions, coasts until the high mountain. Rare in the Alps.
Food  :Worms, insects, seeds, berries.
